Beginning December 1, the Advent Window Walk, unveiled beautiful, illuminated art pieces nightly at 6 pm. These joyful works will remain lit for evening viewing through January 1, 2025.
The windows feature holiday and winter scenes that play with light and color. In addition to the participating homes, the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio, the Fairfield County Foundation, and the Fairfield County District Library are also displaying designs this year.
Enjoy the 27 illuminated window displays throughout downtown Lancaster’s historic district nightly from December 26 – January 1!
The idea to host an Advent Window Walk originated from local resident, Joseph Taylor. Taylor was inspired by a Germanic Christmas tradition that is practiced across Europe; he wanted to start this tradition in his own neighborhood for everyone to enjoy. Taylor’s wish is to bring the community together and showcase unique art during the season.
A map of all Advent window locations is available via the Advent Window Walk website. A QR code will also be displayed in front of each participating home that onlookers can scan to view the map from their smart devices.
