Residents of Ohio’s 12th Congressional District will gather Tuesday, Feb. 17, for a peaceful lobbying event outside the district office of U.S. Rep. Troy Balderson in Pickerington.

The event, scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. at Balderson’s office, 12931 Stonecreek Drive, is part of a broader “National Day of Action”. Organizers say the effort is intended to encourage dialogue between constituents and their elected representative.

The lobbying effort is sponsored by 50501, Flare, and Fairfield County Indivisible. Organizers state participants plan to advocate for impeachment, conviction, removal, and defunding of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, commonly known as ICE.

Speakers are expected to include Jerrad Christian, a candidate for Ohio’s 12th District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Mason Blankenship, a candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives in Licking County’s 68th District.
