Since 2011, the Chocolate Hop has been a way to stop and see the amazing shops located in Olde Village.
Attendees purchase tickets for $5 each. The night of the event, the tickets are exchanged at the Pickerington Village Association (PVA) booth (15 East Columbus Street, across from the gazebo) for a map. Follow the map for chocolate treat.
There will only be 300 tickets sold. A few may still be available at the event, but you may want to grab your tickets early just in case! They can be purchased at The Humble Crate Artisan Marketplace (18 East Columbus Street), Ruby Joy Boutique (88 West Church Street) and The Hair Boutique (37 East Columbus Street).
You can purchase tickets online for just one dollar more: https://pickeringtononline.com/product/chocolate-hop-tickets/. (The extra dollar is a service charge.)
The event will run from 6 pm to 8:30 pm during which 19 locations can be visited! A few of the participating businesses include Sorso Coffee which will be passing out buckeyes, the Pickerington Village Farmers Market which will be offering chocolate milk, Fiiz Drinks which will be providing sample shots of hot chocolate and so much more.

Combustion Brewery & Tap Room will have a draft and crowler release of “Golden Ticket”, a chocolate blonde ale with “a complex aroma and flavor”. Combustion will also host The Purple Chicken wing truck and give away candies.
Now, this may seem like A LOT of chocolate – not to worry, bags will be given out for taking chocolate home as well!
Along with all the tasty treats, there will be live steel drum music performed by local musician, Tony Schmitt, in the Olde Village gazebo. Schmitt plays “everything from Buffett to the Beatles”.
The Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society Museum will offer visitors a preview of its “Student Honors Art Exhibit”. The exhibit will feature works by students from both Pickerington High School North and Pickerington High School Central.

The official date for the exhibit is Sunday, May 5 from 2 pm to 4 pm. That afternoon, the artists and their teachers will be in attendance to speak about their works and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Proceeds from the Chocolate Hop benefit both the Pickerington-Violet Township Historical Society and the PVA.
Upcoming events at the museum include (but are not limited to) the art exhibition, historical walking tours of the Olde Village on June 2, and the “Poisons, Elixirs and Cures” presentation on October 6.
A few of the PVA events include the Shop Hops on the second Thursday of every month from 4 pm to 8 pm, the Farmer’s Market on Thursdays beginning June 6 and Wizard Faire (August 9), Oktoberfest and the Holiday Gathering.
Never too old for a little adventure – all ages are invited to come and join in the chocolatey fun that is the Olde Pickerington Chocolate Hop. Hope to see you there!
