Berne Union High School Theatre to Present First Full-Length Musical Production in Decades: Students will perform The Addams Family April 25-27

SUGAR GROVE, Ohio – Berne Union High School Theatre will present The Addams Family in the school’s auditorium. The show will have three performances: April 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. and April 27 at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and will be available at the door.

The musical is a humorous story about a family’s unexpected encounter with “normal” life when their daughter Wednesday, falls in love with a sweet boy from a respectable family. When she invites her boyfriend and his parents to dinner, the Addams family’s eccentric lifestyle comes to light – leading to comical and meaningful moments.

The cast features Will Venrick as Gomez Addams, Emma Matthewson as Morticia Addams and Grace Underwood as Wednesday Addams. A total of 31 are involved in the production as part of the cast and crew.

“This has truly been a labor of love for our students, parents and community,” said Noah Ott, vocal music teacher and production co-director with Abigail Ott. “It requires so much support and many hands to put on this production – from
parents building sets to the performers to the students in the stage crew. We believe the last time Berne Union performed a full-length musical production was in 1990, so we are really excited to share this show with our community and to give students an opportunity to participate in the unique experience of live musical theater.”
