Dr. Carri L. Brown, the County Auditor in Fairfield County has been awarded the 2025 Excellence in Government Leadership Award by the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) for her visionary leadership and exceptional contributions to governmental accounting. She received this prestigious recognition at the national AGA conference held in Washington, D.C., on February 20.
Dr. Brown was nominated by Tiffany Ridenbaugh, Special Investigations Officer with Auditor of State Keith Faber’s Office. The award honors individuals whose leadership, achievements, and service have advanced financial management in government, strengthened the association, and improved communities.
Expressing gratitude for the award, Dr. Brown highlighted her more than three-decade-long relationship with AGA, emphasizing the organization’s role in providing education and networking opportunities. She credited her team at the Fairfield County Auditor’s Office for their daily dedication and collaboration with citizens and stakeholders. Dr. Brown’s commitment to fostering a culture of growth, education, and financial stewardship stands as an inspiration to others in the public sector.
