October 31, 2025

AMANDA, Ohio (October 31, 2025) – Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools (A-C) alumna Hannah Saum is proudly representing Fairfield County and the state of Ohio during the 98th National FFA Organization Convention & Expo, Oct. 28 – Nov. 1 in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Ohio FFA Association nominated Saum as the official candidate for the National FFA Officer Team, following her roles as a past member of the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA Chapter and former vice president of the Ohio FFA for the 2022-2023 term. Ohio has 30,000+ FFA Members that Hannah will be representing throughout this process.
The National Convention & Expo will name six officer positions from the nominated 36 total candidates at the conclusion of the seventh general session on Saturday, Nov. 1. Out of more than one million FFA members nationwide, the National Officer positions are highly sought after. Candidates prepare months prior to the week-long annual convention, where they face rounds of interviews and assessments. Saum, who is in her seventh year of FFA, began her journey as a freshman at Amanda-Clearcreek High School with advisors Mr. Jeff Tilley and Mr. Scott Sharp.
A junior at Texas A&M University, Saum is pursuing an animal science degree with ambitions to attend veterinary school. While living in College Station, TX for academics, Saum plans to return to Amanda to practice medicine as a mixed animal veterinarian upon achieving her licensure.
“A-C and the entire community are rooting for Hannah as she competes for this prestigious national designation,” said Dr. Timothy Edwards, superintendent of Amanda-Clearcreek Local Schools. “We’re fortunate to have a robust FFA program, dedicated advisors and the resources to prepare our students for future opportunities like Hannah’s. Her passion for this program and the skills she’s developed will carry her far into the future.”
