This December, the Pickerington Lions Club will once again brighten the streets of Pickerington Village with its second annual Holiday Lights Parade. Participant registration is now open.
“Building on the incredible energy of our debut, we are teaming up once again with the Pickerington Village Association’s Holiday Gathering and the City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony,” said Brent Thompson, a member of the Pickerington Lions Club. “Together, we are pulling out all the stops to make this year’s kickoff event bigger, brighter and more magical than ever before.”
The Lions encourage area businesses and community groups to enter illuminated floats or walk the Holiday Lights Parade route in brightly lit costumes. Prizes will be awarded for the most festive floats and displays.
The Holiday Lights Parade steps off at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, beginning on Park Alley and heading north on Cross Street. The route will turn right onto Church Street, then Center Street, before following Columbus Street and looping back to Cross Street.
Those interested in participating in the Holiday Lights Parade can email Lionbrentthompson@gmail.com to register their group. Registration information should include the number of vehicles or walkers in the group and the approximate amount of space, in feet, the group will need.
