A nature class for children to observe, explore, learn and grow in the great outdoors. Classes include a nature lesson, book or song, time to create or build, and open-ended play time. Classes emphasize confidence-building imagination, and appreciation for the nature world. Children will keep a nature journal with weekly entries.
Take a half-mile hike on the Buttonbush Trail as we stop to learn about and sketch what we see. Materials will be provided.
Featuring the winners of the Summer Reading All-Ages Essay Contest, who will share their outstanding work to kick off the evening. Then, the mic will be open to anyone who would like to participate!
