SUMMARY:Cross Mound Park Hike
DESCRIPTION:This is the second of the 2025 Winter Hike Series. If you haven’t yet\, make the Fairfield County Park District’s winter hikes your annual winter tradition with friends and family\, including the four-legged ones. Walk the Cross Mound trail\, then warm up with hot drinks and refreshments. Trail conditions at Cross Mound Park will vary based on weather; be prepared with appropriate footwear to hike in muddy\, snowy\, or icy and slippery conditions. The hike is only about 1/2 mile long but is a bit more challenging than the other park locations. At the crest of the hill\, at Cross Mound\, take some time to learn about the mysterious mound\, then continue. Most hikers will finish in less than an hour. Those who wish to enjoy hot drinks and refreshments should start the trail between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Refreshments will be served from 10:30 until 12:30 p.m. Begin the hike at the WPA pedestrian bridge. Portable water is not available at this location. Bring your own drinking water.\n\nFor more information\, please visit the Fairfield County Park District’s Facebook event.\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading…
