SUMMARY:2026 OHSAA Baseball Tournament: No. 4 Pickerington North vs No. 1 Centerville
DESCRIPTION:4-ranked Pickerington High School North Baseball faces the 1-ranked Centerville High School Elk in the OHSAA D1 Region 3 Semifinals after winning the Central 5 District final 6-2 over Thomas Worthington on May 28th. \nTickets:\nStudents – $10\nAdults – $16 \nPreview:\nPickerington North (20-9) travels to Dayton to play Centerville (25-4)\, playing as the away team for this matchup. \nThough these teams never played against eachother\, they do hold a common opponent\, the Grove City Greyhounds. The Panthers went 1-2 against Grove City\, while the Elk won their only matchup 6-1. \nNorth’s offense is led by junior slugger Jackson Turnbull Jr\, whose .487 Batting Average is good for 3rd in the state\, and whose 31 RBI ties for 1st in the state. His batting is reinforced by seniors Nic Markle (.326 BA\, 29 Hits) and Ian Partee (.333 BA\, 25 Hits). \nOn the defensive side of the ball\, Pickerington North’s led by junior Keegan Reuscher (6-2\, 46 IP\, 2.43 ERA) and sophomore Nate Iacoboni (2-1\, 42.1 IP\, 2.81 ERA). They are supported with a solid reliever core and high-efficiency fielding from junior 1st baseman Colin Whetstone (.977 fielding percentage on 172 chances) and senior catcher Brent Parsons (.968 FP on 126 chances). \n  \n\nThe Elk\, on the other hand\, have only one of their game stats listed in MaxPreps\, so they shall be analyzed by their team total. Centerville has scored 250 runs in 29 games\, while only ceding 74. Of the 74 runs given up\, 33 were in their 4 losses. \nFirst Pitch is at 5pm. \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading…
