SUMMARY:Guided Bike Tour: Olde Pickerington Village to Lockville
DESCRIPTION:Cycle from Olde Pickerington Village to Lockville on this 14 mile guided bike tour. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time once arriving at the Hartman #2 Covered Bridge in Lockville Canal Park. Local historians will be dressed in period clothing as they share stories of what life was like while the canals were in use. We will then peddle to Coyote Run\, Ohio’s newest State Nature Preserve where we will hear about the restoration efforts of the preserve. The tour will ride through Sycamore Creek Park\, which has the covered bridge\, Zeller-Smith Bridge\, and Sycamore Creek Park Arboretum. The Zeller-Smith Bridge will be our last stop\, here participants will listen to stories of how the bridge was relocated and almost destroyed in the process.\n\nThe tour will begin and end at the public parking lot 89 N Center Street in Olde Pickerington\, located across the tracks from Combustion Brewery & Taproom and around the corner from Porter’s Coffee House and Bakery. This is a non-supported ride\, meaning participants should come prepared with personal bike repair kits and water. Participants should expect mostly paved roads with some crush limestone and 366 ft elevation gain with 3.1% max grade. Helmets are required and minor children are permitted on this tour but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading...
