SUMMARY:Teen Advisory Board (TAB)
DESCRIPTION:A leadership group where teens grades 7-12 help shape library programs\, services\, and collections while connecting with peers and gaining valuable experience. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teenage volunteers who collaborate with library staff on programs\, services\, and resources relevant to teens. The primary goal of a Teen Advisory Board is to give teens a voice in shaping the library’s offerings\, ensuring the library remains engaging and responsive to the needs of its younger customers. Members share ideas\, help plan teen events\, suggest new books or media\, and make a difference in the community\, all while developing leadership and teamwork skills. \nTAB is open to all teens in grades 7-12. Through this process\, teens will sign up as volunteers and earn volunteer hours if needed. Teens may join TAB at any time throughout the year. \nMeetings will occur on the last Tuesday of each month at both locations from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Teens should choose one location\, either Pickerington Main Library or Sycamore Plaza Library\, as their home base for TAB and attend all meetings there. Note: The Dec. 29 meeting will be held at Pickerington Main Library as a combined meeting of the TAB from each location. \n\n\n\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Buckeye Book Fair
DESCRIPTION:From Bestsellers to Breakouts: Discover Today’s Most Talked-About Voices\nThe Buckeye Book Fair is where Ohio’s literary excellence and Ohio’s literary grit meet in the same room. For nearly four decades\, readers have come to Wooster to experience something rare: nationally recognized\, award winning authors sharing space with emerging voices who are shaping the future of storytelling. It is a festival where every reader\, from the book obsessed to the book curious\, can find a story that feels like it was written just for them. \nOn Saturday\, November 7\, 2026\, the Greystone Event Center will fill with creators whose work has earned New York Times and USA Today bestseller status\, national awards\, film and television adaptations\, and major critical acclaim. You will meet celebrated authors such as Thirty Umrigar\, Mindy McGinnis\, Linda Castillo\, Terri Libenson\, Amanda Flower\, Rae Carson\, and Jeanine Cummins\, along with illustrators like Rafael Rosado\, Joe Sutphin\, and Lindsay Ward. You will also meet Indie authors publishing their first breakout books\, writers building momentum through small presses\, and storytellers whose work is reaching readers in powerful new ways. The mix is electric\, and it only happens here. \nThe Buckeye Book Fair has always been a place where readers can meet the people behind the stories face to face\, without barriers\, in a setting that feels welcoming to everyone. Whether you come to discover your next favorite book\, to meet an author whose work changed your life\, or simply to wander and see what catches your eye\, you will find yourself part of a community that celebrates reading in all its forms. \nThis is more than a book festival. It is Ohio’s literary tradition\, built on excellence\, accessibility\, and the belief that stories belong to everyone. Come experience the Fair that readers return to year after year. You might arrive curious\, but you will leave inspired. \nWe are proud recipients of Ohio Arts Council sustainability funding. \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading…
