Our Red\, White & READ! Open Mic Night invites voices of all ages to reflect on this year’s essay contest theme: “What Does America Mean to You?” \nWe are proud to feature the winners of our Summer Reading Essay Contest\, who will share their outstanding work to kick off the evening. Following their presentations\, the mic will be open to anyone who would like to participate! Poetry\, personal essays\, short stories\, spoken word\, and acoustic music inspired by the theme are all welcome. \nWhether you’d like to perform or simply enjoy an evening of thoughtful expression\, we invite you to come listen\, reflect\, and celebrate the power of words. \nLight refreshments will be provided. Registration is encouraged but not required. \nAs this is an open mic event\, content is not pre-screened. Some material may not be suitable for all ages.
