SUMMARY:2026 Soberfest
DESCRIPTION:A Festival with a Mission Presented by the Serenity Street Foundation\, Soberfest Ohio was born from the vision of a founder who wanted to prove that sobriety doesn’t mean leaving behind the excitement of concerts and community. “Soberfest Ohio shows the newcomer\, or those early in sobriety\, you can still enjoy live music and have a great time while sober\,” the organization shares. \n Admission to the event is free to ensure all members of the community can participate\, with parking available for $10 per vehicle. \nHigh-Energy Entertainment and Inspiring Stories \n This year’s lineup features a diverse array of alternative and rock artists whose music explores themes of transformation and resilience. Headline performers include headliner Colicchie (https://www.youtube.com/colicchie) who will appear at 8:45 following performances by Whirl\, Rock This Way\, Pilot to Pluto\, Mark Chatfield (formerly of Grand Funk Railroad and Michael Bolton) & Jon Oswald. \nAttendees will also hear from guest speaker Mark Lundholm (https://marklundholm.com/) who will be travelling in from San Jose\, CA. Mark is a recovery-themed comedian\, speaker\, author and hope dealer who will share a message of experience\, strength\, and hope. \nFun for the Whole Family Soberfest 2026 is designed for all ages\, featuring an expanded Kidszone. New for this year\, families can enjoy a two-hour petting zoo alongside returning favorites like magic shows (featuring Carroll Baker – https://www.carrollbaker.com/)\, face painting\, and balloon artistry. The Kidszone will run from 12:00 – 4:00. \n \n\nA variety of local food trucks will also be on-site all day. \nConnecting the Community to Resources Beyond the stage and games\, Soberfest serves as a critical link to community support. The Resource Fair will host over 70 partners\, including treatment centers\, wellness organizations\, and medical professionals\, to provide valuable information and direct services. In previous years\, these partnerships have resulted in hundreds of on-site health tests and direct connections to life-saving treatment. \n“Every year at Soberfest\, my heart is filled with gratitude. I love seeing our community come together… witnessing the growth in the people we serve\, our colleagues\, peers\, and even taking a moment to reflect on our own journeys\,” says the event leadership. \nFor more information\, volunteer opportunities\, or to register as a partner\, visit SoberfestOhio.com or SerenityStreet.org. \nFor up to date information please follow our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/SoberfestOH \n \n\nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading…

SUMMARY:Ohio Goes To The Movies: Superman
DESCRIPTION:Ohio Goes to the Movies™ (OGTTM) is a statewide celebration of movies showcasing Ohioans: actors\, directors\, writers\, composers\, locations\, and topics\, shown in cities and towns across the state. \nMarcus Theatre Pickerington presents Superman (2025)\, Ohio’s most connected Superhero. \nSuperman (2025) was filmed in Ohio\, with major locations state-wide being used to represent Metropolis. The Cleveland Guardians’ Progressive Field stood in as the home of the Meteors\, the Cincinnati Museum Center becomes the Hall of Justice (as the original Hall of Justice was designed after it’s grand exterior)\, and other locations big and small all help bring Superman back to his roots. \nAlthough his in-text backstory has Kal-El born of Krypton and raised in Smallville\, Kansas\, Superman’s true origins lie upon the shores of Lake Erie\, from the minds of Jerry Siegal and Joe Shuster in 1933. These sons of Cleveland sold the rights to Superman in 1938\, but they remained connected to the character until their deaths in 1996 and 1992 respectively. \nEven the actors hold connections to Ohio\, with Hawkgirl portrayed by Cleveland’s own Isabela Merced\, who’s acting credits also include Aza Holmes in Turtles All The Way Down (filmed around Cincinnati)\, Dina in the television adaptation of The Last of Us\, and Dora in 2019’s Dora and the Lost City of Gold. \nThe featured presentation is rated PG-13\, so parent discretion is advised. \n \n\nTickets are not yet on sale: Pickerington Cinema | Marcus Theatres \nShare this:\n Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)\n Facebook\n \n Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)\n LinkedIn\n \n Share on Threads (Opens in new window)\n Threads\n \n Share on X (Opens in new window)\n X\n Like this:Like Loading…
