DESCRIPTION:Join us for the NEA Big Read Kick-off Event to pick up a free book\, attend a presentation by Dreams on Horseback\, and meet their miniature therapy horses. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Pickerington Public Library is excited to announce that we have been selected to receive a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read grant! Join us at 4:00 p.m. for the Kick-off to pick up free copies of four titles selected for the program. At 4:30 p.m.\, attend a presentation by Dreams on Horseback to learn about their equine therapy programs\, and at 5:00 p.m. meet their miniature therapy horses! \nThe grant will support a community reading program focused on Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body by Rebekah Taussig\, and three companion novels for teens\, middle grade\, and early readers. The NEA Big Read offers a range of titles that reflect many different voices and ideas\, aiming to inspire conversations\, artistic responses\, and new discoveries and connections in each community.
